# Ichimoku Cloud Breakout, 8H, Long Only

A built-in strategy on Central Command, tested on BloFin history. **Held up on its coins, not on others.** 8H candles, long only, category Trend Following.

## Rules

**Entry.** On a closed 8H candle, go long when the close crosses above the top of the cloud (the higher of Senkou A 20/60 and Senkou B 120, as drawn on that candle), Tenkan(20) is above Kijun(60), and the close is above the close 60 candles ago. Long only.

**Managing the trade.** Close on an 8H close below Kijun(60).

**Stop and target.** Stop 2.5 x ATR(14) on the 8H chart from the entry, never moved. No fixed target.

## Exact rules

8H candles close at 00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 UTC, so a signal is checked three times a day. The cloud is shifted forward, as on the chart: the edges used are the ones drawn on the signal candle.

## How it tested

Settings were chosen on 2023-10-01 to 2025-08-01, then judged once on 2025-08-01 to 2026-10-19, which was not looked at while choosing. Figures are after fees, on BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, BNB.
