How to send TradingView alerts to BloFin

Turn a TradingView strategy into live BloFin orders with a webhook, with no code and no server of your own.

TradingView can't place orders on BloFin by itself when an alert fires. You need something in between that receives the alert and trades it. This guide uses a signal agent on Central Command, the BloFin terminal I build. You'll need a BloFin account, and a TradingView plan that includes webhook alerts, which the free plan doesn't.

1. Create the signal agent

Open the agent builder and choose follow my signals. Fill in:

  • Agent name: for example, "TV Scalp Executor".
  • Signal password: an extra check that the alert is yours.
  • Risk per trade: the most it can risk on one trade. The default is 2%.
  • Symbols: optional. Leave it empty to act on every coin, or list a few, such as BTC, ETH, SOL.
  • Agent instructions: these override everything else. For example: "Only take signals with R:R above 3. Max risk 1% per trade. Skip signals with no stop loss."

When you create it, the status says AWAITING SIGNAL. It does nothing until an alert arrives.

2. Copy your bot ID and webhook URL

The builder's Webhook Setup box shows both. The bot ID looks like bot_ab12cd34 and sends each signal to this agent only. Treat it like a password, because anyone who has it can send your agent signals. The signal password is your second check, so set one.

3. Create the TradingView alert

  1. Open your strategy or indicator on a chart and create an alert.
  2. On the Notifications tab, tick Webhook URL and paste the URL.
  3. Paste this into the Message field. The builder fills in your own version:
{
  "bot_id": "<your bot id>",
  "password": "<your password>",
  "symbol": "{{ticker}}",
  "trade_type": "{{strategy.order.action}}",
  "entry_price": {{close}},
  "stop_loss": 0,
  "final_target": 0,
  "take_profits": [],
  "source": "<your agent name>"
}
  1. Set the name and expiry, then click Create.

bot_id, symbol and trade_type are required. trade_type takes LONG, SHORT, buy or sell. {{strategy.order.action}} only works on a strategy alert, so on an indicator alert write the direction in yourself.

4. Set your exits

Either send stop_loss, final_target and take_profits from your script, or tell the agent how to exit in its instructions. Leaving both empty is the mistake to avoid. Fill in your stop first.

5. Test it with a small budget

Set a small budget, fire one alert, and check the agent's Activity tab. It logs every signal it accepts or rejects, with the reason. If a signal is rejected, the reason will usually tell you what to fix.

Common questions

Do I need authentication headers?

No. TradingView only sends the message body, and the bot ID in that body routes the signal.

Can several strategies share one agent?

Yes. Give each one its own source, and add an instruction such as "only trade signals from X".

Can I send signals from something other than TradingView?

Yes. Any script or service that can post JSON to the webhook can use it. The Signal API docs list the fields.

Can I turn a Pine script into an agent instead?

Yes. The builder can also turn a TradingView script into an agent that runs without alerts.

What does it cost?

Central Command is free with a BloFin account opened through our link, or there's a 10-day free trial with no card. It earns a commission from BloFin when members trade.
