Central Command

Heikin-Ashi Trend, 8H, Long Only

A built-in strategy on Central Command, tested on BloFin history. Held up in testing. 8H candles, long only, category Trend Following.

Rules

Entry. Heikin-Ashi candles are built from the 8H candles: close = (open + high + low + close) / 4, open = the average of the previous Heikin-Ashi open and close. On a closed 8H candle above EMA(150), go long when the last 1 Heikin-Ashi candle is green and the one before it was red. Long only.

Managing the trade. Close after 3 red Heikin-Ashi candles in a row.

Stop and target. Stop 3 x ATR(14) on the 8H chart from the entry, never moved. No fixed target.

Exact rules

8H candles close at 00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 UTC, so a signal is checked three times a day. The Heikin-Ashi open is the 3-period EMA of (open + high + low + close) / 4 one candle back, which is the same recursion.
