Breakout With a Parabolic SAR Exit
A built-in strategy on Central Command, tested on BloFin history. Thin edge in testing. 4H candles, long and short, category Trend Following.
Rules
Entry. On a closed 4H candle, go long when the close is above the highest high of the previous 40 candles and above the Parabolic SAR (start and step 0.02, max 0.2). Go short when the close is below the lowest low of the previous 40 candles and below the SAR.
Managing the trade. Close a long when a 4H candle closes below the SAR; close a short when one closes above it.
Stop and target. Stop 2.5 x ATR(14) from the entry as the hard stop. No fixed target: the SAR exit takes the profit.
