Enter long when: (1) A candle closes with volume > 3x the 20-period volume average, (2) The candle is bullish with body > 70% of total range (stro
Position management
Volume impulses indicate institutional interest — expect follow-through. Hold for 2-3 candles minimum after entry. If the next candle after the impulse is an inside bar (consolidation), hold — it often resolves in the impulse direction. Close if a candle of equal or greater volume prints in the opposite direction.
